So now AUTEC is UFO central? The cable is more than likely part of an older/prototype BARTS (Buoyed Acoustic Range Tracking System) system connecting to a hydrophone which are routinely located at depths of more than 1,000ft which is beyond normal diving depth and beyond a persons field of vision.
Besides, the whole of the Bahamas couldn't produce enough power for the things people claim.

People and their theories. CD, Wolfy and others know all about me and the military and at times getting into 'discussions' like this are like trying to prove to a 2 year old (and some 45 year olds) that the Earth goes around the Sun.

I am no fan of the Theory of Evolution, in any of it's many incarnations. At the same time I am also not a fan of one of the more ignorant arguments against evolution. That is to say the whole "was anyone there to see it happen?" pillar of debate gets me just as steamed as the some 28+ "missing links" that have been found over the last few decades. (Steamed in the form they were described and then presented to the public)
Just as many Creationists (and others who find fault with evolution) claim that since there was no visual record to be written down at the time of an evolutionary event there can't be any real 'proof', the same can be said about the notion that God created the Earth. According to the Bible there was also no one there to see it happen, so then they have no 'proof'.
There are two types of records, those written in stone and those on paper. While records on paper were made by man and may have many contemporary witnesses they can very easily be falsified, exaggerated and over time completely perverted. Records in stone however (as in fossils) can not be faked or provoked. Yes people can make some pretty convincing fakes but to anyone with the knowledge (and free of personal agenda, aka not bent on supporting their own ideas no mater what) it isn't hard at all to point out the fakes from the real deal.
The truth of a real fossil is just as immovable as a mountain, metaphorically speaking of course.
No matter the interpretation of a fossil the reality and truth of it can not be disproved. The same can be said for gravity. Some say it's a force others a particle but no matter ones ~belief~ you can't escape the reality that any apple dropped will fall.
I am not saying all of this in defense of evolution (or against it) I am saying it to prove a point. That point? To use the argument "since no one was there to see it we can't know" is purely childish.
There is one other thing I'd like to say about "missing links". It's easy for regular people (and many scientists as well) to get confused, caught up, and mislead by the term (and anything labeled) "missing link". A missing link is any fossil that fills in the gap between two distinct species. This means that there are many thousands of missing links in our record so there will be many missing links to be found as time goes by. A missing link isn't just a connection between humans and apes but and transitional species be it from a reptile to a bird, slimy thing to a fish and so on. The term "The Missing Link" however is not just any broad label it is the name of the direct transitional species from apes to man, which has yet to be found and may never be.
Just wanted to clear that up a bit.

Yeah ok, I get it, Walmart bad, Oil Companies bad, Military Industrial Supranational Governing Alien Overlord Complex bad. What I don't get is 1) what your ideas for replacing or fundamentally changing a capitalist economy are and 2) any real understanding (on your part) of how the world and reality actually work.
Case in point, Walmart. Founded in 1962 by Sam Walton Walmart is the largest corporation, by revenue, in the world. By 2006 the company had over 6,200 facilities, employed nearly 2,000,000 persons world-wide, had approx. 300 million weekly customers (not transactions) and sales revenue of $340 billion.
Now, you might look at $340 billion in sales and then look around at the poor conditions of un-developed nations and perhaps think about the recent negative economic events in the US and think that companies like Walmart (or BP, governments themselves, Microsoft etc) are big evil things plotting to crush the little man and take over the world with "Made in China" products that were put together by 9 year old orphans. Of course you would be...wrong.
After Walmart paid the light bills for their 6,200 facilities, paid the salaries of their 2 million+ employees, furnished (and then restocked) a years worth of goods for 300 million+ customers Walmart had a total net income of $12 billion (fiscal year ending Jan 31, 2006) or a profit margin of 3.5% THREE POINT FIVE PERCENT.
Now I am by no means an apologist for Walmart or the petrol companies or anyone really for that matter but I do have a clue when it comes to simples things. Things like, who's responsibility is my own personal life? Which would be me not you, the government or any company. I am well aware of the many issues surrounding economic giants and the fact that throughout the years companies and powerful individuals don't always take ethical paths. However, I am also aware that when it comes to things like who's to blame for you living paycheck to paycheck, having your house foreclosed upon and so on the answer, 99 times out of 100, would be YOU.
Perhaps the fact that most Americans don't save 3.5% of their income each year for things like retirement or emergencies or even really nice vacations plays a role in the amount of self-indulgent finger pointing when the world's largest company only musters a total profit in the single digits, I dunno.
The point is God decides how we are born, we decide how we live. Unless you have had some great injustice done to you (and yes some have by governments and even Coca-Cola...but not for making you fat) whatever problems affect you and your world are the responsibility, thus the blame, of yourself and perhaps those you let around you.
Isn't it sad that an ill and broke man from way down in Tennessee has to be the one to lay out such simple truths using information and calculations it took no more than 45 minutes (seriously from research to this word only took 45 minutes) to gather and has to write it out on a site about Vampires of all places?
Yeah the world is screwed up, big time, but it didn't get that way because of big men with bigger bank accounts. Every single man-made system on Earth, from the beginning of time, has in the end been created, started and fed by the individual. What problems face the globe face it as a result of the small and weak only then can it turn into something massive and ground shaking. Hell, why do you think the first word in 'Atom Bomb' is ATOM!?
